Lisa Murray
Lead Nurse Ultrasound Department
Clonskeagh Clinic
Lisa Murray qualified from the Meath Hospital as a Registered General Nurse and Rotunda Hospital as a Midwife. Following a short period as a Midwife in the Rotunda Hospital, Lisa moved to California and worked at Stanford Hospital and Clinics as a nurse and Assistant Nurse Manager with a strong focus on women’s health. She then worked in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Gynaecology Oncology before focusing on Fertility. The last 11 years in the USA, Lisa worked at Stanford Fertility and Reproductive Medicine where she gained vast experience, including fertility preservation for oncology patients and third part reproduction. As the centre was part of a major university it allowed the opportunity for Lisa to be involved in a lot of research and studies.
In 2012 Lisa returned to Ireland and joined the team at SIMS. Since then, she has had the opportunity to complete the graduate certificate in ultrasound at UCD and work extensively in the ultrasound department. This allows Lisa to interact daily with our patients and get to know and support them as they move through their journey.
Lisa says the things she finds most rewarding about her job are helping couples to create their family and supporting them on their journey. Patient education is very important and she constantly strives to champion this. She also strongly believes in staff development and education so that not only are the staff extremely knowledgeable about their role but they can also better help patient’s on their journey.
